We're changing the narrative around this choice.
My name is Jon. I stopped drinking.
What I didn’t expect was how hard it would be to tell people.
I found myself explaining a decision that was making my life better. And when I finally opened up about it, I learned I wasn’t the only one.
That’s why we started Clear Path.
I wanted my kids to see that choosing what’s right for you is something to be proud of. And I wanted to build something that reminds people they don’t have to make those choices alone.
My wife and my kids are at the center of this story.
They’re the reason Clear Path exists.
The decision that changed everything.
I drank to quiet an ache I didn’t want to feel. Over time, it pulled me away from the people I loved.
Then I came home after being away.
“You don’t get to pretend you don’t have a family when you go away and get drunk.”
My daughter said it. My wife turned away.
I’d told myself I was only hurting me. In that kitchen, I couldn’t believe that anymore. I decided to stop drinking because my family deserved someone they could count on.
The next morning, I showed up. Then I did it again the day after that.
Why we started Clear Path
When I opened up, others shared similar stories. Different reasons, different choices, but many felt like they had to explain a decision that was making their lives better.
I wanted my kids to see that choosing change was something to be proud of.
I started asking:
How can I use what I’ve learned to help someone else?
Clear Path became our family’s answer.
Together, we built it around three pillars: Clarity to see what matters. Courage to act on it. Belonging to know there’s a place for you here.
Each collection carries one of those ideas. “Clarity Over Chaos” · “Fully Present” · “Not Someday. Now.” · “Turns Out I Could.” · “No Edits. Just Me.” · “Good Company” Different messages, all rooted in what Clear Path stands for.
Our logo carries that story, too. The Ember line represents my decision to change. Everything above it represents what came next.
